Since a series of running injuries last year, I have been regularly seeing a really good sports physiotherapist. He has helped me through a difficult time of illness when I couldn’t run and he’s given me the strength, confidence and knowledge to get back into my training. Friday’s session was the last before the London Marathon and man, the massage he gave me was truly excruciating! I reckon that the USA doesn’t need to bring back water boarding, just give the suspect a sports massage and the’re bound to spill the beans! Today, after not feeling 100% this morning, I took my Marathon shirt out for a test spin of 4.1 miles, my first run in April. I must say the physio certainly knows what he is doing my legs felt good and overall I felt really loose and flexible. It just goes to show that the pain of a good sports massage is worth it.
A very good start for April, I’ve entered the Awesome Running Events 100 mile challenge for March and according to my plan I should pass the 100 mile point during the London Marathon, how awesome is that?
