You might wonder why I haven’t posted the usual running selfie at the head of this blog. This photo was taken at about 6:20 this morning on the train to London Kings Cross from Wakefield Westgate. “Haven’t you had a chance to run yet today?” I hear you ask? The honest answer is, at the time of writing this paragraph, no, because I have only just boarded the 17:33 train back home.
If you are reading this I have definitely run my daily 10K because I am only going to post this after I have successfully achieved 10K. It’s just that I think I’ll get ahead by writing a pre run blog entry on the train (because I have a couple of hours to kill). In a way, it’s a pity I am not on an overnighter because it’s quite nice to run in London but I definitely would prefer to be home.
More news when I have finished my run but in the meantime, I will read a book.
21:45 Made it home OK, went out and did my 10K. I don’t usually go out this late but needs must and I felt surprisingly good and it was (relatively) swift. Phew!

“As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, ‘This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so that they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.’”
Matthew 14:15 NIVUK
Richard is running 10K every day during June, to raise money for a public access defibrillator to be situated at Rothwell Baptist Church. To sponsor him and make a donation, please visit his Just Giving Page.
